Behaviour consultations

Behaviour support for dogs finding life hard.

Some dogs carry real emotional distress, and it can show up as difficult walks, big reactions, struggles when left alone or a home that never quite settles. None of it means you have a bad dog, and none of it is your fault.

Your dog's behaviour is not your fault. At Green Dogs we have created a safe space where you can talk openly about your dog's issues without judgement. I am a dog mum myself, and all my dogs have had emotional baggage I have had to work through, so I know how tough it is. Behaviour is complex and multifaceted, and it can come from genetics, past experiences or health. If we have a chat together we can work out the best way to support your dog and you, by looking at the whole picture.

Where we start

How I work

I start by listening. Before we change anything, I want to understand your dog's history, health, routines and the moments that feel hardest, because behaviour is communication, and it always makes sense from the dog's point of view.

In your initial consultation we go through all of it together, unhurried. I watch how your dog moves through the world, and we talk honestly about what is realistic for your household. You will leave with a clear picture of what is likely driving the behaviour and a practical plan of humane, achievable next steps.

Then I stay with you. For two weeks after your consultation I am on hand to answer questions, adjust the plan and keep you moving, because the real work happens in ordinary daily life, not in a single session.
